Marking our 25th year of being a supplier of mapping and modelling services to the Environment Agency
We are excited to announce JBA’s appointment to the Environment Agency's 2024 Mapping and Modelling Framework (MMF). The 2024 MMF is a national framework which will deliver services including survey, mapping, modelling, hydrological and other professional services. This appointment marks our 25th year of being a supplier of mapping and modelling services to the Environment Agency, having been appointed to the first such framework back in 1999. It also marks a significant milestone in our collaboration with the Environment Agency, underpinned by JBA’s position as the leader in numerical modelling, hydrology, risk assessment and geospatial modelling.

Setting the stage for future innovation
Being selected for the MMF again, underscores the value the Environment Agency JBA provides the Environment Agency in supporting them to meet their strategic objectives and the long-term ambitions of their 2020 National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy. (FCERM), 2023-2033 Asset Management Strategy and sustainability strategy -eMission 2030.
The feedback on our tender submission was overwhelmingly positive, recognising our impressive experience, specialist expertise and what we can collectively achieve working as one team. This success not only celebrates our current accomplishments but also sets the stage for future innovations and developments to the world of mapping and modelling.
Delivering on our shared commitment to build resilience to climate change
This appointment provides us with opportunity to further our work with the Environment Agency, delivering on our shared commitment to build resilience to climate change. Scheduled to launch in May, the MMF will operate over three years at a value of £52.5m, with the option of a one-year extension at a value of up to £17.5m. The framework promises continuity and consistency in the services we provide, backed by a robust pipeline of work and a steady stream of opportunities for innovation and growth.
We are pleased to announce the leadership roles within the framework: Ellie Charles will be our Framework Manager, with Marc Pinnell taking the role of Framework Director.
