The International Property Flood Resilience Association (IPFRA) - Our commitment as a founding member company

A central body to unify, represent and support those delivering Property Flood Resilience

We’re proud to be one of the founding member companies of the International Property Flood Resilience Association (IPFRA) – the first trade body for Property Flood Resilience (PFR). As a founding member company, we're committed to supporting, promoting and growing the PFR sector by working collaboratively with those helping to make properties more resilient to flooding.

What are IPFRA's objectives?

With a greater number of properties at risk of flooding due to climate change, IPFRA was founded to lead the movement to mainstream PFR. By representing the individuals and organisations delivering PFR on the ground (including surveyors, installers, consultants, manufacturers and distributors), IPFRA's main aims are:

  • To professionalise the sector by promoting quality, consistency and accountability across the supply chain
  • To raise awareness and support education to establish PFR as an integral measure in flood risk and climate adaptation
  • To support growth, innovation, education, training and collaboration amongst IPFRA members
  • To promote best practice through adherence to the PFR code of practice and industry standards (e.g. BSI)

Did you know?

Following IPFRA's official launch at Flood & Coast 2025, Floods Minister, Emma Hardy MP, welcomed the establishment of a PFR trade body to provide security to those at risk of flooding. Read more here.

“Being part of IPFRA is about giving the sector a structure to grow. We need to encourage more people into PFR, support their development and provide them with a consistent benchmark. I’ve been involved in various working groups for years, and this felt like the natural next step - to create something truly representative of everyone in the industry.”
