Welcome to our Port Risk Manger service. Here we provide data, tools, guidance and support for ports and harbours seeking to understand and mitigate operational risks, including those arising from climate change. This service has been developed on behalf of the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) implemented by ECMWF.
Perform your own port risk assessment
If you wish to perform your own preliminary risk assessment, the Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS) contains climate data based on the best available science, provided free of charge by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). The Guidance and Tools sections below, provide advice on how to undertake a risk assessment based on the CDS data.
JBA also provides advanced port risk management services using the data and tools from the CDS, combined with our advanced logistics software ForeCoast® Marine and our Marine and Coastal Engineering expertise. Our work includes:
- Port simulation and analytics services to:
- Evaluate the impacts of metocean, flood and climate change risks on port infrastructure and operations
- Inform mater planning and investment decisions
- Optimise port logistics
- Engineering services to mitigate the impacts of metocean, flood and climate risks
