Technical Test Analyst
Are you an experienced Technical Test Analyst with a solid background in testing complex systems?
Are you an innovative thinker looking for a dynamic and growing company?
Due to team expansion, we are looking for someone who can add value in various aspects of technical testing with a focus on test automation, API Testing, Performance Testing and possibly some Security Testing. This means you will already have experience in at least one of these areas. There will be plenty of opportunities to expand your skillset and experience with JBA. As you may expect, there will be some manual testing as well but always looking to bring smart technical test solutions to each project and contribute to the efficiency of product quality assurance and our software development lifecycle.
Our projects are generally ‘domain technical’ in nature as JBA is a specialist in providing GIS, geotechnical projects to scientific or engineering organisations. Experience with geospatial data and mapping would be an advantage.
We follow a JBA formal test process that is closely aligned to industry standard software test processes (e.g. ISO29119) and such you will be responsible for reviewing requirements, test analysis, test design, organisation of test cases, test execution and raising defects. Task management, traceability, defect tracking and execution logs are looked after by Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Location:
The role will be based in either our Leeds LS1 2HL, Skipton BD23 3FD or Saltaire BD18 3LF. JBA supports agile working which provides for greater flexibility with the way that we work.

Qualifications and experience
Key competencies required for the role:
Candidates should be good communicators, innovative thinkers (R&D opportunities) and proactive self-starter as there will be some home working. Strong team ethics and able to work well others is essential.
The right candidate will have strong technical experience as a technical tester (approaching SDET type roles). It is essential that applicants have strong, proven experience in a technical software testing field with a solid background in testing complex systems, will consider development background.
