Are you passionate about Software Development?

Would you like to achieve a degree in Digital & Technology Solutions whilst working in an exciting environmental company?

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individuals who are keen to develop their software development skills. We have an exciting opportunity for a degree apprenticeship within our Technology, Data, Software and Development group. A degree apprenticeship is a fantastic alternative to a traditional campus-based programme, with the opportunity to earn a salary whilst still achieving a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Digital & Technology Solutions; Software Engineer degree.

The successful applicants will join a dynamic and growing software development team, expanding to meet the needs of new and existing clients. The team work on a wide range of projects, for example creating software for meteorological and hydrological model calculations, creating tools to process geospatial data, and using satellite data to detect land surface changes and flood inundation. The successful applicant will help in the design, creation and testing of code used in such projects.

We have a wide range of clients including UK flood risk management authorities (e.g. Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales), Network Rail, local authorities, utilities companies, international development banks, and international humanitarian organisations.

Both permanent and fixed term roles are available. The roles would be well suited to those with a passion for technology and software development perhaps looking for a career change or just starting out on their career path.
