Are you enthusiastic about data analytics? 

Would you like to achieve a Business Analyst Level 4 or Level 6 degree qualification whilst working in a forward thinking environmental company? 

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individuals who are keen to develop their Business Analysis skills. We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 4 or degree apprenticeship within our Technology, Data, Software and Development group. An apprenticeship is a fantastic alternative to a traditional campus-based programme, with the opportunity to earn a salary whilst still achieving a Level 4 Business Analyst or Digital and Technology Solutions professional; Business Analyst apprenticeship. 

The successful applicants will join a dynamic and growing software development team, expanding to meet the needs of new and existing clients. The work is varied and extends much of the system development lifecycle ranging from contributing requirements for proposals for new business, to writing non-functional and technical requirements.     

Our clients include UK flood risk management authorities (e.g. Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales), Network Rail, local authorities, utilities companies, international development banks, and international humanitarian organisations. 

Both permanent and fixed term roles are available. The roles would be well suited to those with a passion for technology and system development, those looking for a career change or just starting out on their career path. 

  • The apprenticeship

    Following completion of probation and successful apprenticeship enrolment, apprenticeships would start in Autumn 2024. Study will be undertaken in the form of day or block release with apprenticeship training providers Estio, part of the BPP Education Group, or QA, combined with supported workplace training, working to achieve a achieve a Level 4 Business Analyst or Level 6 degree Digital and Technology Solutions professional; Business Analyst apprenticeship.

  • Location

    This post will be based in our Skipton office. 

    JBA supports agile working which provides for greater flexibility with the way that we work. 

  • Entry requirements

    By 31 August 2024, you will need:

    • To be over the age of 18  
    • The right to live and work in the UK to qualify for funding 
    • At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent (Grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)) including Maths and English. 

    For Level 4 Business Analyst, you will need: 

    • A Level 3 qualification such as A levels, NVQs, a BTEC or a Level 3 Apprenticeship 

    For Level 6 BSc Digital and Technology Solutions professional; Business Analyst you will need: 

    • A minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points (equivalent to BCC at A-level).

    Entry requirements for those currently in employment will be based on meeting funding eligibility and requirements of both the training provider and JBA Consulting.
