Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician
Do you have an interest in Civil Engineering? Do you want to join a dynamic and growing company whilst working to achieve a HNC qualification?
To meet our growing business needs we are looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician with the ability to support projects and work pro-actively with clients and construction teams.
The successful candidates will play a key role in the delivery of infrastructure projects for flood and coastal management, railways, reservoirs, highways and green engineering. We work across the public, private and third sectors. They will report to a Senior Technician/Engineer and will assist in the delivery, appraisal, investigation, detailed design and construction of these schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to earn whilst you learn. Following completion of probation and successful course enrolment, the HNC course would start in Autumn 2023. This will involve a proportion of the working week being based at a local college and/or completing coursework combined with supported workplace training.

Qualifications and experience
Key competencies required for the role:
Candidates should ideally:
- possess one pass at Higher Level C or above in Mathematics or Physics or equivalent
- possess sufficient I.T. skills to learn relevant software tools under supervision, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD
- be able to occasionally travel to our other offices as necessary, therefore a valid UK driving licence will be an advantage.
Entry requirements for those currently in employment will be based on meeting funding eligibility and requirements of both the training provider and JBA Consulting.
