We’re excited to tell you about the first ever Women in FCERM (Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management) virtual event.
Women in FCERM is a networking group of male and female professionals, supporting and connecting women working across the FCERM sector. Like many other professional organisations during the current COVID19 situation, Women in FCERM are finding new ways to host national and regional events.
JBA’s Hannah Coogan and Lea Nightingale are members of the West Midlands and Anglian regional team and have been telling us more:
Following the success of a number of regional Women in FCERM networking events over the last few years the next event from the West Midlands and Anglian regional team has gone virtual!
This means it is open to everyone, wherever they are based, and as always these events are open to all professionals working across the FCERM sector, everyone is welcome. We are holding the session over lunchtime on Wednesday 8th July between 12.30-2pm.
The theme of our event is we’re all in the same storm but not in the same boat.
We will have three guest speakers discussing challenges which have arisen in the last few months namely;
- The aftermath of flooding amid COVID19 restrictions
- New ways of working whilst undertaking caring responsibilities for children and other family members
- Coping with living alone during this uncertain time
Our three guest speakers are:
- Heather Shepherd (National Flood Forum)
- Sophie Djanko (CIWEM)
- Third Speaker to be confirmed
We’re excited to be hosting our first ever virtual event this summer and hope this new format will enable even more to join – looking forward to meeting you there digitally.
