We have been shortlisted in the CIWEM Tyne and Humber Annual Awards 2019.

JBA Consulting are excited to announce the shortlisting for three categories at the CIWEM Tyne and Humber Annual Awards 2019.  The Tyne and Humber Branch Annual Award dinner will take place on Friday 12th July at the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds.

Warmest congratulations to our colleagues who have been shortlisted in the following CIWEM Tyne and Humber Award categories this year:

CIWEM Rising Star Award: Stuart Marshfield, Team Leader, JBA Consulting.

Stuart joined JBA Consulting in 2014 and has been recognised for his significant achievements in research and development for flood modelling projects, post flood surveying, technical leadership in quality assurance, and for the delivery of flood modelling training courses and workshops.

CIWEM Career Achievement Award: Mark Bentley, Technical Director, JBA.

Mark has over 35 years’ experience of computational modelling, working in the consultancy, research and regulatory fields. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and most recently joined CIWEM’s Professional Standards Committee. As Technical Director, Mark has been integral in the innovative development of JBA’s 2D modelling software JFlow, the JScreen tool and in leading the JBA team that provides professional flood risk advice to the property conveyancing market.

CIWEM Team of the Year Award: Jeremy Benn Associates (JBA) and Future Climate Info (FCI) collaboration.

The JBA team works in collaboration with FCI to provide specialist flood risk advice which helps property buyers to determine and properly understand flood risk. The service makes the best use of the specialist skills of each company and offers a unique combination of an environmental search with expert flood analysis from an independent source.

Mark Bentley told us more:
“JBA are pleased to be able to continue our support to the CIWEM Tyne and Humber branch, and we are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of all the nominees at Friday evening’s award dinner. It is especially pleasing to be shortlisted for Team of the Year Award, for our specialist flood risk service that has been running for just over a year.”
