We are looking for a Flood Risk Hydraulic Modellers, from entry level to senior positions, to support the growth of our Warrington Office and the services we provide across North West England and North Wales. You will be working in a team assisting with the delivery of a broad variety of environmental and flood risk management projects for the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, local authorities and private sector clients.
The successful candidate will scope, schematise, configure, manage and interpret 1D, 2D and linked 1D-2D (principally fluvial) hydraulic models within our flood modelling team. This position involves the delivery of hydraulic and hydrological modelling work, survey data interpretation, flood inundation mapping, geographical information systems analysis and technical reporting.

Qualifications and experience
Applicants should have a relevant degree(s) in geography, environmental management or engineering and have a good technical background with substantial and proven industry experience. We also expect applicants to be chartered or nearing chartered qualification with a relevant recognised institution (such as CIWEM).
Applicants will be expected to lead across a broad range of flood risk management projects. We expect applicants to have significant experience in several UK recognised flood modelling packages, such as Flood Modeller Pro, ESTRY, TUFLOW, ISIS, HEC-RAS and InfoWorks. Applicants should be familiar with both 1D and 2D modelling methods and their application to a range of studies.
Applicants should be experienced in completing hydrological assessments using FEH and other techniques in catchment hydrology. Applicants should be proficient in the use of GIS (using ArcGIS, QGIS and/or MapInfo software) in building and interpreting flood models.
