Business Support Administrator

We are looking for an organised and pro-active team player to join our busy Business Support team. As a member of our Business Support function your role will be pivotal in providing administrative support to our expanding business. This is an active but varied role where you’ll assist in the coordination and implementation of a wide range of different business initiatives.
Working under the supervision of our Head Office lead for Business Support but also liaising with local staff, you will be responsible for daily business operations including office administration and reception duties. You will also provide support in project management, such as coordinating and managing meetings, coordinating and booking travel arrangements, minute-taking, and documentation control. You will carry out responsibilities to ensure continued compliance with our various accreditations in Quality, Environment and Health & Safety, as well as take responsibility for aspects of financial management.
Ideally, this will be a part-time role (around 15-25 hours per week).

The post is based in our Leeds, LS1 4BN office. JBA offers a flexible working scheme, with hybrid working at home. However, given the nature of this role, we would expect the successful candidate to proportionally spend more time in the office.

Qualifications and experience
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who can execute administrative tasks efficiently, such as handling and organising business documentation with high levels of confidentiality and accuracy. Being approachable and supportive to colleagues and pro-active in prioritising tasks are also important attributes for this role. We value established secretarial and administration skills but will provide on the job-guidance and training where necessary.
Ideally, this will be a part-time role (around 15-25 hours per week).
Essential attributes for the role include:
- Competency using standard MS office software include Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Previous relevant experience in administration / office management.
- Strong organisational and planning skills and the ability to self-manage.
- The aptitude to support technical project work, for example, by assisting with data management and quality assurance processes.
- The flexibility to be reactive to business needs, and to prioritise key tasks.
- Good time keeping, be reliable and well organised.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Experience working on tasks independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable attributes for the role include:
- A current driving licence, to permit unsupervised driving in the UK.
- The organisational skills to contribute to an established Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety accredited system.
- Qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
