The 2 and 3 of February saw over 350 people attend the Cumbria Flood Expo at Carlisle Racecourse. The aim of the event was to help people affected by the 2015 floods and to promote the uptake of the Government’s £5,000 Flood Resilience Grant.
We have been working with such communities by providing Property Level Protection (PLP) surveys in relation to the grant. The surveys aim to help those affected by the floods understand how they can make their properties resilient to potential future flooding.
The government grant scheme deadline is the end of March. We will continue to provide the survey support for this and the deadline to book one our surveys is the end February.
