Another year, another NCE100 award season, and we’re very glad to announce that we have made it to the shortlist for the third year in a row.
Our two shortlisted categories, ‘Excellence in Alternative Energy’ and ‘Excellence in Climate Resilience’, fall under the Shaping the World theme. This year’s application process meant companies answered general questions with the judges then shortlisting for the categories they deemed most appropriate.
“We work very hard to ensure we are continually developing across the business – working collaboratively to create cutting edge solutions for our clients. Once again, we are very happy to be involved in the NCE100 awards which recognises these efforts, and hope to hold onto our current 6th place standing in the overall 100 Companies of the Year,” commented Marc Pinnell, JBA Consulting Managing Director.
Winners of the 2018 awards will be revealed at a gala dinner on the 23 May at the Troxy, London.
In the 2017 NCE100 Companies of the Year Awards we received an overall ranking of 6th out of 100 UK and International engineering companies. We were also shortlisted for the Global Firm of the Year and the Technology Champion categories. In the same year, we won two categories in the NCE TechFest awards – Best use of Technology: Driving Efficiency and Designer of the Year.
In 2016, we were awarded Technology Champion at the NCE100 Companies of the Year Awards in recognition of our commitment to innovation and for capitalising on:
- Super-fast computing
- Use of gamification technology
- Field based asset data collection using mobile technology
- Asset management
We were also shortlisted for awards under the Talent Champion and International Impact categories.
What makes an NCE100 Company?
The NCE100 awards are designed to showcase truly outstanding civil engineering practices. Recognising the most forward-thinking, innovative firms operating in civil engineering today the NCE awards highlight the firms that are doing the right things, in the right way, to deliver the outcomes that benefit society.
All NCE100 companies will be firms that are driving the industry forward: increasing productivity, driving cultural change, and delivering for society here in the UK and worldwide.
