JBA appointed to multi-million pound Scotland Excel Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework

We’re very pleased to announce that we have been appointed to Scotland Excel Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework. This multi-million-pound, third generation engineering and technical framework enables Scottish councils to source specialist engineering and technical consultancy services.

We were successfully appointed in all five lots that we tendered for on the Framework, which include:

  • Lot 3: Environmental Engineering
  • Lot 4: Land Surveying
  • Lot 5: Drainage and Flooding
  • Lot 6: Geoenvironmental and Geotechnical
  • Lot 7: Coastal and Maritime

The Framework can be used by all 32 local authorities in Scotland as well as the Scottish Government, Transport Scotland, Scottish Prison Service and Scottish NHS Authorities and Trusts, as well as the higher and further education sector in Scotland.

The Scotland Excel Engineering and Technical Consultancy Framework duration will run from 18 March 2021 until 17 March 2025. Our appointment onto this Framework, and in particular, the success of being selected in all five lots that we tendered for, is a recognition of the experience and diversity of skills that JBA Consulting now offer in Scotland.

David Bassett, Director, said:

“We’re delighted to be appointed to the third generation Scotland Excel Framework. We have worked for many local authorities and others in developing flood risk management and flood protection schemes across Scotland. A great example is the recently completed Smithton and Culloden Scheme reducing flood risk to over 270 properties, de-culverting and restoring burns. We have previously been on the Scotland Excel Framework for Land Surveying, and reappointment on this lot alongside appointment for Flooding, Environmental, Geotechnical and Coastal will allow us to provide our services on a wide range of activities.

A key area is likely to be providing sustainable solutions in a changing climate, areas that JBA has extensive experience, knowledge and innovative ideas.”
