Would you like to work on the largest portfolio of the most exciting flood and coastal risk management (FCRM) projects in the south of England?
Working together with the Environment Agency and civil engineering contractor Volker Stevin, we’re supporting the delivery of flood risk management, environmental, and navigation projects. Whilst also providing incident management response across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire.
As part of this ongoing project, we have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new collaborative delivery team and work on the largest portfolio of FCRM projects in the south of England.
Over the coming weeks we will be recruiting for multiple roles, however we are currently looking for an experienced hub lead to ensure the successful delivery of the Environment Agency’s long-term capital programme through the CDF and other FCRM schemes and projects in the region.
We will also be looking for engineering design, scheme appraisal and environmental management leads, as well as team members across the three disciplines ranging from Graduate to more experienced senior roles.
“JBA have been working as the lead delivery partner in the South-East on our Collaborative Delivery Framework since 2019. It has been a real pleasure getting to know and working with the JBA team.
The ethos of the framework is to deliver projects in a truly collaborative way, and this is reflected in the behaviours of all our partners involved to date. Working with JBA, Volker Stevin, local authorities, businesses and other agencies, together we are delivering a programme of critical projects, helping to protect communities from flooding and improve key infrastructure.
The opening of a new JBA regional delivery office is exciting and they are to be congratulated on their commitment to the framework. When combined, the Environment Agency’s growing programme of works and JBA’s long-term commitment to local service, presents a great opportunity for growth of regional skills and capacity in Flood & Coastal Risk Management, and more sustainable project delivery. Our delivery partners will play a crucial role in helping the Environment Agency meet its ambition to “create a better place” and I welcome JBA stepping up to the challenge through this initiative.
I would encourage anyone interested in a new personal challenge to take a look at the opportunities on offer and consider how they might become part of this great team, working together in response to the climate emergency to help create a nation resilient to climate change.”
Andrew Gilham, SE Delivery Manager, Environment Agency
