With new postgraduate modules starting in 2017, we thought we’d let you know about all of our Postgraduate training opportunities and the great skills you could be developing with us.
Industry leading practitioners from JBA Consulting deliver modules for both Lancaster University and the University of Leeds, combining our technical expertise with that of research-led teaching excellence. Delegates can work towards a qualification of their choice (MSc, PgDip, PgCert) or can choose to take individual modules as CPD.
Lancaster Environment Centre – Flood and Coastal Risk Management
Embarking on its third year, this unique course provides flexible and accessible postgraduate training focused on the practical application of skills and best practice techniques.
The course was accredited by CIWEM in 2016, who commended the unique collaboration between academia and industry. They highlighted key features of the program to be the “full integration of research and innovation with the taught modules”, as well as the “range of facilities available and the hands-on applied learning approach.”
Delegates can choose to study a diverse range of topics, from flood modelling and hydraulic processes to sustainable catchment systems and SuDS design. The course provides essential practical skills for a wide range of professionals and organisations including local authorities.
Flexible delivery enables delegates to continue working whilst studying and the course can be started at any time throughout the year.
University of Leeds – Environmental Water Consultancy
The MSc in Environmental Water Consultancy is currently the only course in the world that offers training in environmental water management with a specific focus on consultancy. Building on the University of Leeds’s world-class reputation for water related research, it delivers highly practical business-focused training to prepare graduates for a role in water consultancy.
