Great Heck Pumping Station – sheet piling

Time lapse of the installation of sheet piling at the Great Heck Pumping Station. In week one (shown above) the pre-augering, and driving of sheet piles took place up to 11.5 m in length.

Week two (shown below) involved the cutting of the driven piles to enable services to be passed into the pump sump, and the driving of H-piles which form the support of ancillary structures.

Works are being carried out in co-operation with both the Coal Authority, and the Danvm Drainage Commissioners, who are managed by the Shire Group of IBDs.

We’ve been commissioned by the Coal Authority to remediate subsidence damage to the Land Drainage of agricultural land near the Village of Great heck, North Yorkshire. We are managing the on site delivery of the scheme.
