Are you going to the Flood and Coast conference? Come along to stand B9 where you can meet the teams from JBA and JBA Bentley to find out how we are leading the way in flood risk and resilience.
Throughout the three days of the conference we will be doing live interactive demonstrations using the wave tank to show the effectiveness of different types and combinations of coastal defences on the potential for overtopping and flood risk.
You can find out more about the wave tank here.
This year the conference is framed around the draft Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) strategy and the three ambitions for the future. This is open for consultation until 4 July 2019.
- Climate resilient places
- Today’s growth and infrastructure to be resilient in tomorrow’s climate
- A nation of climate champions, able to adapt to flooding and coastal change through innovation.
The draft strategy sets out a vision to the year 2100, we were involved throughout the engagement process of the draft FCERM strategy and developed the evidence base that informed the strategy.
We have quite a few speakers this year from across various disciplines within JBA. You can read a full overview of their sessions here.
