Webinar 6: UK’s climate is already changing, are you making climate ready decisions?

Over the course of this webinar our presenters will spend time discussing the importance of understanding the risks that climate change can present and how to build climate resilience. They’ll also share details of how businesses can prepare climate adaptation plans by utilising ISO14090 Adaptation to climate change — Principles, requirements, and guidelines. This webinar will include information on the following:

  • Climate resilient decision making
  • The need for adaptation planning
  • Benefits of an adaptation plan
  • Utility of ISO 14090 Adaptation to climate change — Principles, requirements, and guidelines

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar.

About the presenters

Rachel Brisley, JBA Technical Director

Rachel leads our work on Climate Resilience Policy and Research, supporting policy and decision makers to interpret climate information and facilitating the assessment and management of risk.  She has a national and international track record in climate resilience and co-authored the Health, Communities and Built Environment Chapter of the recently published Independent Assessment of UK Climate Risk.

Nick Pyatt, Climate Sense Director

Nick Pyatt is Climate Sense’s Lead Trainer and Coach and has a background in leading organisational development consultancy for international natural resource management within complex commercial, social, environmental and climate sensitive environments. He now works with a wide range of clients addressing climate and other long term sustainability challenges.
