Following the demolition of the old social housing on the Mayfield site in Ramsey, Isle of Man, planning approval was received for a new sheltered accommodation apartment block. The site is located alongside Queens Pier Road which is part of the road racing course for the famous TT Races. The development consists of 36 apartments on three levels with a communal lounge and facilities to enhance the comfort for residents.

Attendees included members of the Ramsey and Northern District Housing Committee, with the chairwoman leading the celebrations undertaking the first cut, Isle of Man Government Ministers, members of the design team and the contractor.
