What will you be doing on a JBA apprenticeship?
We understand and value individuality, so your training and development will be tailored specifically to help you achieve your goals. The apprenticeship will involve on the job learning at JBA together with external training.
As a JBA apprentice you will have the opportunity to rotate around our various projects and disciplines giving you a breadth and depth of skills in various topics, methodologies and tools complimenting the experience acquired through your studies.
Our colleague, Georgina Bullock, completed an apprenticeship with JBA in 2019 and has been telling us about her experience:
I joined JBA in December 2017, after finishing my A-Levels that summer, and started the Level 3 NVQ Business and Administration apprenticeship with Craven College in January 2018. Over the following 15 months I attended college every Friday where I learnt the principles of business and administration, and then four days a week I applied this to my role as Training Assistant within JBA. Alongside college lessons, the apprenticeship standards required me to collect evidence from work that proved I was meeting the criteria set by exam boards. JBA was very supportive of me working within different teams to obtain evidence for each standard. I completed my Level 3 NVQ Business and Administration apprenticeship in March 2019 with a Distinction and have continued my role within the Learning and Development team at JBA, where I have responsibility for organising all staff training. I have also continued studying and am currently working towards HNC Business with Nelson and Colne College.
