Promoting economic growth and resilience
Here at JBA we work with communities across the globe to increase awareness of flood hazards and build resilience to climate change. That’s why we‘re proud to announce that we have entered into a new agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) under the Data Development Partnership (DDP). This agreement provides the EBRD free access to JBA’s comprehensive 30m resolution Global Flood Maps for every location worldwide.
The EBRD works to promote economic growth and development in countries across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean. Through enhanced access to JBA’s Global Flood Maps, the EBRD can strengthen its efforts in helping vulnerable communities prepare for and mitigate the risks of flood hazards.
Data for good
Our collaboration with the DDP enables JBA’s Global Flood Maps to support projects and communities most at risk in a changing climate. Through this agreement, we supply maps to several International Development Banks, including the Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank. The EBRD is the latest organisation to benefit from this valuable data, supporting their initiatives in disaster risk management and resilience building.
These partnerships are vital steps toward our vision of enhancing resilience to climate change and fostering sustainable development in vulnerable regions.
