Introduction to 2D Flood Modelling using TUFLOW

Cost:
£275.00
Duration:
1.0 day(s)

Overview

This course provides delegates with hands-on use of two-dimensional flow modelling using TUFLOW software.  TUFLOW is particularly suitable for modelling flow in coastal waters, estuaries, rivers, floodplains and urban areas, where flow patterns are primarily 2D in nature.  The course provides delegates with an introduction to the mechanics of TUFLOW and guides delegates through the development and evaluation of a TUFLOW model.   No prior knowledge of TUFLOW is assumed but previous experience of MapInfo Professional GIS software would also be beneficial.  Delegates interested in coupled TUFLOW with 1D models should also consider the Introduction to 1D-2D Flood Modelling using ISIS-TUFLOW course.

Who should attend

  • Environmental modellers with reasonable IT and GIS skills.
