Since flood impacts are differentially experienced depending on social and locational characteristics, an understanding of how to measure and map flood vulnerability is crucial for the management of flood risk. This project has produced a Database of Receptors Vulnerable to Flooding (RVF) for England and Wales which draws together 9 national datasets and includes 21 layers. A query has been developed to interrogate the base layer datasets and attribute summary information to a 100m by 100m grid.
