- About Us
Private Sector
JBA’s private clients have benefited from a wide range of our services. We have built up a good reputation with our clients and enjoy excellent working relationships with them.
JBA offers the kind of extra attention to detail which you would expect from a successful award winning medium sized consultancy. We are big enough to have expertise and skill in abundance but not so big that you, our clients, feel marginalised or unimportant.
Because of this we have a good client base and a respected reputation.
Developers
Our services can help you as developers to demonstrate an effective and compliant approach to flood risk and environmental issues. JBA places sustainability at the core of our operations to ensure that our work for you will meet every environmental requirement and be of the highest quality and value.
The water-related and environmental experience within JBA brings a unique combination of skills to the design team. We provide hydrological and hydraulic models, flood risk and scour assessments, and reservoir safety studies. Further, we provide independent checking and review of the above, and Category III design checks.
Our network of offices offers advice on drainage, including sustainable drainage (SuDS), ecological survey and all aspects of hydrology. We have proven expertise in supplying contractors with pre-entry water quality and chemical characteristics of watercourses potentially affected by a development. Further, we can also advise on suitable renewable technologies to generate heat and power for your developments, including wind, biomass, hydro-electric and ground source heating.
Longer-term projects will benefit from asset management through our GISmo (GIS mobile) and GIS systems.
Other related skills include environmental impact assessment (EIA), master-planning, landscape design and visualisation of almost any type of development.
Our experience and skills make your project a success and exceed expectations.
Private land owners
JBA’s experience in climate change makes us the ideal consultants to advise you on how your property may be affected in the immediate and more distant future. You need to know how your property and its water supply might be affected and whether or not it is at risk of flood or drought Other related skills include environmental impact assessment (EIA), master planning, landscape design and visualisation of almost any type of development or change to the landscape.
Our partnership management experience, combined with our skills in external funding and community engagement, make your project a success and exceed expectations.
More
Concern with society’s response to climate change also results in a productive relationship with power, utility and transport companies as well. We demonstrate a substantial track record in offering cutting edge services in asset management, environmental impact assessment (EIA), landscape design and visualisation of almost any type of development or change to the landscape.
We value our clients existing and new and look forward to working with you. So whether you are a returning client who knows us well or one who would like to find out more about this area of JBA’s work, please email Steve Maslen or call him on 01274 714 269.
