Getting Here
By Rail
Nearest rail station is Dalmeny. There are regular trains from Edinburgh. It is approximately a 10-minute walk down steps to the office. The start of this path is on the main road near the small roundabout, just between the bus stop and the railway line and is sign-posted Hawes pier. For timetables see www.nationalrail.co.uk. Taxis are available from Ferry Fare (t: 0131 331 3399).
By Bicycle
There are facilities at the office for securing bicycles, and for showering.
By Road
JBA Consulting is located approximately 10 miles from central Edinburgh, underneath the Forth Rail Bridge in South Queensferry, between the road and the shoreline.
From the south:
A1, A720, A90 (heading for Forth Road Bridge) then B924 to South Queensferry village.
From the west:
M8 or M9 to Forth Road Bridge, A8000, then left to South Queensferry village.
From the north:
M90 to A90 to Forth Road Bridge, A8000, then left to South Queensferry village.
From Edinburgh:
Take the A90 out of Edinburgh heading for South Queensferry. Turn off right on to the B924 towards South Queensferry and continue straight on towards the Forth Rail Bridge. When you come down a steep incline and the speed changes to 30, slow right down and take the hairpin turning off to the right. You will see our small, white building directly underneath the railway bridge.
From South Queensferry:
Go through South Queensferry town centre along the promenade. Before you pass the Hawes Inn on your right, just underneath the railway bridge you will see a narrow turning to the left. Take it and you will see our small white building directly underneath the railway bridge.
Parking
There is ample free car parking space available outside the office.
By Plane
JBA Consulting is located approximately 4 miles from Edinburgh Airport. (www.baa.co.uk/main/airports/edinburgh).
Disabled Access/Facilities
Our ground floor office has toilet facilities for the disabled but there is a step at the entrance to the building. Disabled visitors are advised to contact the office prior to their visit so that suitable arrangements can be made.
Accommodation
The Hawes Inn is opposite our office (www.innkeeperslodge.co.uk). South Queensferry also has a Premier Inn (08701 977094) and several B&Bs, for example The Ravenous Beastie - formerly Hawthorne House - (0131 319 1447).
