JBA funds innovation and research at Limerick University
JBA is pleased to be supporting research and innovation in Ireland.
JBA Consulting is one of a group of companies who are contributing a total of €6.4m towards funding for Lero, the Irish software engineering research centre based at the University of Limerick. The other firms involved in the scheme are IBM, Intel, Information Mosaic, QAD Ireland, Kugler Maag CIE, Almir Business, Movidius, Lumension Security, Vitalograph, Storm Technology and Fineos. The Irish Government’s Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) are providing €16m in funds, making a total grant for Lero of €22.4m. Minister for Research and Innovation, Seán Sherlock TD said, "This renewal SFI funding to Lero is in recognition of their research excellence and considerable impacts already delivered. Crucially, it will also enable the Lero team to further deepen the level of collaboration with industry and provide for increased commercialisation opportunities for Ireland."
