JBA appointed to Environment Agency Property Flood Resilience Framework

We are delighted to confirm that we have been appointed to the Environment Agency's latest Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Framework, which is set to commence in January 2024 for a period of up to four years.

As part of the new framework our highly experienced teams will provide independent PFR survey expertise and scheme support as the Lot 1 'Primary Delivery Partner' in the South West, South East and the East Integrated Delivery Team Hubs.

In addition to this we are also the ‘Reserve Delivery Partner’ for the North West Integrated Delivery Team. This marks a change from the previous national framework to a single appointed Lot 1 surveyor and Lot 2 contractor within each of the EA’s 6 Hub locations, simplifying procurement and enhancing collaboration and partnerships.

With the EA advancing mobilisation arrangements, our PFR teams will now be focussing on delivering PFR surveys by direct appointment for the Environment Agency teams and Local Authorities progressing PFR schemes across each of our three appointed IDT Hubs.

As a result of the new framework allowing all UK Government departments and Risk Management Authorities to appoint both the Lot 1 surveyor and Lot 2 contractor, we are also witnessing significant interest developing within the devolved nations and are already supporting a number of PFR schemes across both Wales and Scotland.

"Having been appointed to the EA’s previous two PFR Frameworks since their inception in 2010, we are delighted that our reappointment will see us continue supporting communities at flood risk, working in partnership to support homeowners and businesses in their pursuit for resilience to climate change and the increasing risk from flooding."

Head of Resilience and Water Management, Peter May

"We are really pleased to be appointed to this new framework and continue our leading role in property flood resilience. Through this framework and others that we are appointed to too, our teams are standing ready to support risk management and local authorities deliver improved property resilience across the whole of the UK."

Managing Director, Marc Pinnell
